I felt the weight of responsibility, but also the opportunity to honour my grandparents in a new way.
The name Flora Lavanda
The name is a tribute to my maternal grandmother, Flora. She and Grandad Bruno have spent their whole lives working hard in the fields. Thanks to their efforts and to my mum, who passed on her love of nature to me, I have preserved the land I inherited by turning it into a lavender farm..
My memories
I remember when I used to sit on top of the hay bales on the cart with Grandad Bruno at the wheel. I used to run barefoot along the avenue. The feet that would have trodden the grapes during the harvest. Grandma Vittoria’s songs, dressed in her floral clothes – the very same ones she wore whilst tending the vegetable patch that fed families in need.
They were tiring days, but full of lessons: the value of hard work, respect for the land, and generosity.
From memories to lavender
I have studied cultivation. I invested in professional 280-liter stills. I learned the art of distillation. I didn’t stop at cultivation – I control the entire process, from the field to the finished product.
Today, I provide professional distillation services to other producers in the Treviso area. When professionals trust my equipment, I honor my grandparents’ legacy the right way.
